Chelsea Clifton

Director of Operations

Chelsea works directly for The Coppola-Cheney Group as their Director of Operations and Team Coordinator and has been a part of the team since 2011.  She is responsible for all backstage operations for the entire team, including project management, client presentation preparation, internal presentation prep, as well as any other team projects. Chelsea holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon and has her Arizona Real Estate License.

What are the top 3 skills you need to be successful in your position?

  1. Organization – we are a very past faced team, working on multiple projects at once
  2. Follow through – Our team believes strongly in the Kolbe A Index. I am a high follow-through on the Kolbe and it has paid off immensely in my position 😊
  3. Value-Add Mindset – We have a team term called “The Parable of the Oranges” which essentially means we don’t just process stuff, we are always adding value. This took some time to really grasp the concept, but it is very important to always add value to anything you touch on our team!

What is one of the projects you are most proud to have worked on?

When I first started, Craig and Andrew had just briefly messed around with sending out a weekly narrative to their email list. I helped create and elevate that process to our now weekly narrative called The C2 Voice, which goes out to 40,000 people weekly and has evolved to now include video narratives, original content, and much more.

Describe your family and free time activities.

I have two daughters – ages 7 and 2, so I am always hanging out with them and my husband. We love to travel, swim and be outside as much as possible!

How has your position with the team evolved over the years?

I moved to Arizona in 2011, a couple years after graduating college, and started out as an administrative assistant for the team. I have worked on just about every aspect of the backstage operations from setting up conference calls and tours, to running meetings, creating systems for our team to be more efficient, preparing high-level pitch presentations and managing the team.
